Ohio is known as the Mother of Presidents in addition to the eight Ohioans who served as president the first Ladies Library is located here. There are many sites in the state that relate to these men. The McKinley Museum in Canton is the most fun. I will Outline some of the sites here.

 William Henry Harrison was the 9th President. He has the shortest presidency in US History serving less than 2 months during March and April of 1841.  He was very important to Ohio History and served as the first Secretary of the Northwest Territory and many sites are located there most notably Grouseland his home and the Governors mansion.

Ulysses Simpson Grant was the 18th President and served from March 1869 to March 1877. Born in Point Pleasant Ohio , he went on to West Point and was best known for his service during the Civil War.

Rutheford B Hayes was the 19th President and served from March 1877 to March 1881. Born in Deleware Ohio and educated at Kenyon College he was our third President.

James Abraham Garfield was the 20th President and served from March 1881 to September 1881. Born in Orange Township; he was assassinated in office.

Benjamin Harrison was the 23th President and served from March 1889 to March 1893. Born in North Bend;  He is the Grandson of William Henry Harrison. His presidency was marked by economic reform and Technological advancement. He is the President who installed Electricity in the White house he is the first president whose voice was recorded.

The only site for Benjamin Harrison in Ohio is his birthplace at North Bend. It is included in his grandfathers listing. Interesting note His Father is the only man to have been both the Father and Son of a US President.

William McKinley was the 25th President and served from March 1897 to March 1901. Born in Niles; his presidency was marked by the turn of the Century. He was the Last Civil War Veteran to serve as president.

William Howard Taft was the 27th President and served from March 1909 to March 1913. Born near Cincinati he is the only person to have been both President and Chief Justice.

Warren Gamaliel Harding was the 29th President and served from March 1921 to March 1923. Born near Marion. He passed away in Office from a Heart Attack. His presidency was busy as he came in during a depression. He did found the Veterans Affairs office.
