Ohio has made many contributions to the military and has hosted a few battles. Here are a few sites to explore.

 Ft. Laurens

Located in Bolivar ; Ft Laurens is one of the few revolutionary war sites in the state. The fort was built here at the intersection of the Tuscarawas river and the great trail. Later the canal came thru and then Rt 77. This has been a busy plot of land.  Today it is a nice park featuring a museum, there are many markers explaining the sites history. Its a great place for a picnic or just to stretch your legs.
